Michael P. Taylor

Michael was called to the Bar in 1984. He began practice as an associate shortly thereafter at Lyons, Arbus. He eventually became a partner at Lyons, Goodman. When Lyons, Goodman dissolved in 1990, he joined the firm of Iacono Brown where he thereafter became a partner.

He left Iacono Brown on October 1, 1997 to form the present partnership.

Michael has practised exclusively in the area of insurance since 1984, both in the property and casualty field. He also has experience in the defence of environmental law claims.

At present, Michael's practice includes accident benefits work, tort motor vehicle work, general liability and property work. He appears regularly before all Ontario courts and at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario with respect to the accident benefits work.

Michael has written and lectured on a number of insurance issues including environmental claims and the Occupiers Liability Act. He also has served on the editorial board of the publication Legal Focus which specializes in property and general liability issues.
