





Heather Kawaguchi
Heather obtained her B.A. from the University of Western Ontario in 1993 and her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1996. Since her call to the Bar in 1998, she has worked exclusively in personal injury and insurance defence litigation. Heather joined Zarek Taylor Grossman Hanrahan in January 2005.
At present, Heather's practise is divided between motor vehicle tort and accident benefits files. She has represented insurers in arbitration proceedings at the Financial Services Commission of Ontario. Heather has also appeared before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Divisional Court for both tort and accident benefit matters.
Heather has been a presenter at the Insurance Institute, discussing various insurance coverage and claims handling issues. She co-authored a paper on priority issues, which was presented at a seminar hosted jointly by the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario.
